The 3rd annual Mutt Strut was a barking success thanks to over 1,000 community supporters and their pups. We applaud our industrious pledge-getters, we send woofs to all the businesses that opened their doors to our walkers, and many wags to the City of Dearborn for helping us coordinate this urban celebration of animals. Although we are still tallying the results, we can say we surpassed our pledge goal of $60,000, and with sponsor and individual donations, we soared beyond $80,000. That sum will help ready at least 160 animals for adoption. Our 2008 theme is “going the extra mile for homeless animals” and with the help of our many, many Mutt Strut friends we are on the road to victory! | |

group "alumni" photos of adoptees will be taken and posted at the
event and on our Web site. We invite adopters to share their happy-tail
adoption stories for posting as well.

Show off
your adopted dog's hidden talents by entering the Pet Trick Contest.
The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate donated by
Ron Burns Studio. Ron Burns is
considered to be America’s Favorite Animal Artist and is the
artist-in-residence for The Humane Society of the United States. Thank you
