What your donation dollar buys for the animals:

    $10.00   provides special formula for an orphan kitten or puppy for 6 days 
    $25.00   vaccinates one dog or cat
    $40.00   provides cat litter for all shelter cats for one week
    $50.00   buys food for all shelter dogs for one week
  $100.00  spays one cat or neuter one dog
  $250.00  helps pay for medical costs for an injured stray cat or dog
  $500.00  treats a small dog for heartworm disease or a cat in pain for dentistry
$1,000.00  microchips 200 shelter cats and dogs so they need never be lost again

Lola has brought so much fun into our lives. When our 12 year old Lab Cody died in October, I didn’t want to go through that hurt again. But after two months without a dog I felt the emptiness. Our house was not a home. When I saw Apolla (Lola) on the website I immediately fell in love with her. Apolla needed love and the feeling of security and I knew our family could give her that. We worked with Karen at the shelter on a few things Apolla needed attention on. We waited patiently to adopt her and on February 11 we brought her home. She has made us so happy.  Her favorite toy is a rope toy and her favorite activity is playing in the yard.

 Lola loves her new toys and her sister Becca  and brother Josh. She is spoiled to say the least. She plays all day and looks forward to her daily walk with her dad and meeting all her neighbors. She loves to give hugs and snuggle in bed at night. We love Lola and we thank the Dearborn Animal Shelter especially Karen for all their help in adopting Lola. Our house is now a home again!
