Detroit = Tigers to hold pep rally in Dearborn<= /st1:place> Jan. 25

DEARBORN= - Jan. 25 will be an unexpected day for summe= r fun in Dearborn when the Detroit Tigers hold a= rally at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center theater= .

Doors will open at 2 p.m. for this preseason event, which is free and open to the public.

A pep rally will kick off the program= at 2:30 p.m. and lead to the introduction of players form the Detroit Tigers baseball team, who will answer fans' questions and talk about the upcoming season. People are encouraged to submit their question prior to the event by faxing them to (313) 943-2413, or mailing them to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, Senior Services, 15801 Michigan Ave. =

The Meet and Greet session with the T= igers will finish in the Dome Room, with a short time designated for autograph signing. The program will conclude at 4 p.m.

People of all ages are invited to tak= e a break from winter to come out and meet the Detroit Tigers and show their support during this event, sponsored by the city's Senior Services Division= .

"The city of Dearborn is pleased to have been select= ed by the Tiger organization for this community event," said Mayor Michael A. Guido. "I know our Tiger fans will pour into the theater to greet the hometown team."
