Casey's Trail

Whether you want to remember a favorite pet, honor a best friend, or celebrate a special date, you can do it with a forever memorial for the new Dearborn Animal Shelter.  Casey's Trail is a walk made of memories, honors, and tributes to our friends, both two-legged and four, who have given us hope, faith, and love to continue along the path of our lives.   Learn more about Casey        
Casey's Trail will be a leashed dog walk surrounding the new animal shelter in Dearborn.  It will provide a place for those dogs awaiting adoption to be exercised, and also serve as a path for owners to come and walk with their pets.  Until we can build the actual Trail, we are building a virtual Casey's Trail on the web.

To participate in Casey's Trail:

  1. Please read about and determine your commemorative opportunity selection - you also may give any commemorative as a gift, honorarium, or memorial and we will notify the person(s) you indicate.

  2. Indicate your desired inscription

  3. Add your selection to your Cart and complete the check-out process to complete your order

Step 1 - Commemorative Opportunities:  

The following include commemorative plaques - maximum of 5 lines of text with 14 letters per line:

The following paver Bricks contain all upper case engraving - 14 letters per line:

Large (8” x 8”) Brick for Casey’s Walking Trail - 5 lines of text with 14 letters per line.  
You also may order a second duplicate brick for half price ($50) for your personal use - to keep or give as a gift.

Small (4” x 8”)  Brick for Casey’s Walking Trail - 2 lines of text with 14 letters per line. 
You also may order a second duplicate brick for half price ($25) for your personal use - to keep or give as a gift.

- Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter reserves the right to edit requested plaque and brick inscriptions in order to maintain the spirit of Casey's Trail.  You will be notified of any such edit.

- Bricks ordered together can be placed together.  Additional bricks orders at a later time will be placed in that chronological sequence.

- Bricks, trees, and benches will be physically installed after the new shelter is built.   Until then, we're building Casey's Trail here.

Financial Note: Funds raised through the New Shelter Capital Campaign to build and furnish a new shelter building and surrounding area are restricted to this purpose and to the New Shelter Endowment Fund.  The New Shelter Endowment Fund will be funded at the rate of twenty five cents from every dollar of new shelter capital campaign revenue.  These restricted funds will be invested in socially responsible instruments.  All interest income earned on new shelter fund balances shall be restricted to use only for new shelter activities.
