Shelter News

Kitten season is upon us and we are again looking for loving homes to foster orphan kittens, moms and kittens, and bottle babies. If you are interested please contact Heather Mehi dasmehi@aol.com 313 943-2697.  If you have never fostered we can help you learn is easy and very rewarding.

Transport Volunteers are needed to transport wildlife-baby birds and animals.  Generally, the transportation 
would be in Wayne county/Ann Arbor area.   If you can help, please contact Heather Mehi, dasmehi@aol.com,

Behavior Program News
 

The Shelter In-house Training (SIT) Team is looking for people interested in working with the dogs at the shelter to make them more adoptable. Please contact Linda Thomas LVT, CPDT at daslthomas@aol.com.

Are you a cat person who would like to help make the cats more adoptable? Join the Cat Coaches!  Please contact Linda Thomas LVT, CPDT at daslthomas@aol.com.

Are your nights lonely? Having a hard time getting to the shelter? Become a training assistant and work with students in the Friends Dog Training classes.  Please contact Linda Thomas LVT, CPDT at daslthomas@aol.com.

Merchants Wine Tasting at Ford Field in Dearborn - June 8th from 3:00pm –6:00pm

For $50 you can taste lots of different wines and beers and feast on wonderful delicacies like cheeses, meats and salads. 

Proceeds will benefit the shelter.
