Put your thinking caps on
for our Volunteer Contest!!!

Calling All Friends Volunteers!

Let me introduce myself -- I'm Liz Talbott, retired Ford Marketing Manager and volunteer for nearly a year.  I'm serving as the Friends Marketing Director.  We are planning the Friends marketing strategy for 2009 and we need your help!!!!!

To market our shelter and provide the best environment and opportunity for our animals to find their adoptive parents we have to market ourselves to the general public.  To keep us on track we need a "marketing theme"  for 2009.  This is where you come in.

We are running a contest open to all volunteers to help us come up with our 2009 marketing theme!   We need your GREAT ideas and believe you have the slogan for the 2009 campaign!

Our marketing slogan for our 15th Anniversary in 2008 has been "Going the Extra Mile".  It was used in our print media, internet communications, and in our "speeches".  For 2009, we plan to increase the exposure of our slogan to enhance the Friends image.

Submit your ideas today.  The more ideas you submit the more opportunity you have to win . . . and the better chance our animals have of finding their perfect parent match!

Contest Rules

  1. The contest will run until October 24, 2008.

  2. Friends Volunteers may submit as many ideas for the 2009 campaign as you would like.

  3. The Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter Leadership Committee will review all submissions and select the winning idea for the 2009 campaign.  Their decision will be final.

  4. The author of the winning idea will be announced in the December 1 Volunteer eNews and on the Friends web site.  The winner also will be recognized at the Volunteer Holiday Party on December 18.

  5. The author of the winning idea will receive a gift card/cash that will be awarded at the Volunteer Holiday Party.

  6. To submit ideas, complete this form (all fields are required) and hit Submit.  You may also submit ideas through the Friends web site and at the shelter.
