Barking Success for Mutt Strut:

Heather Mehi (and Splash) - Pledge Team Winner, Strut Magazine editor-in-chief Theresa Falzone, Detroit Lions quarterback Drew Stanton, Christina O'Reilly, Detroit Lions offensive tackle George Foster, Dearborn Mayor Jack O'Reilly, Mutt Strut presenting sponsor Dr. Cheryl Good, Sandra Aliviani - Pledge Individual Winner

The 3rd annual Mutt Strut was a tremendous success thanks to over 1,000 community supporters and their pups. We applaud our industrious pledge-getters who surpassed the pledge goal of $60,000, and with sponsor and individual donations, we soared beyond $80,000. That sum is almost triple our revenue from 2007 and will help ready at least 160 animals for adoption. Our 2008 theme is “going the extra mile for homeless animals” and with the help of our many, many Mutt Strut friends we are on the road!

Didn’t have time to pledge, make a donation to the Mutts and Kitties now.

See all the photos from Ed Serecky and Valerie Truax.  Many thanks!!

The Strut route was through both scenic river front and downtown businesses.

Dr. Good and her family lead the parade.

Ultimate Air Dogs was amazing - there is a pool under this pup!

We’re Not Cat-napping!:

Travena

Let’s not forget the over 100 shelter kitties who need your help too! Help celebrate June Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat month.

  • Honor your favorite feline or favorite fella (June 15 is Father’s Day!) by sponsoring a month in the Triple C (Cat Community Center).

  • Invite a new family member into your home (or send this link to a friend who needs a friend). A wonderful fit might be Travena, shown at left, a 4-year-old truly gorgeous Maine Coon who sees the world from a different angle. Travena’s head may be tilted (from a previous injury), but that doesn’t stop her from being a purr-fectly loving girl. She is one of the most affectionate kitties we’ve ever seen.
