After several years of outstanding service to the animals and to the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter, Debi Price, our Director of Volunteers, has resigned. Debi has provided exceptional guidance and assistance through her position as director and all of us will miss her contributions. See her bio on the Friends Board page ... Until we identify a new Director of Volunteers Diane Kroll has agreed to conduct Volunteer Orientations, Pat Ludwig will maintain our volunteer database, and the Friends' Leadership Committee will maintain and publish the Volunteer eNews&Needs. If you have any questions or comments, you may talk with Elaine or Heather at the shelter or email friends-volunteer-director@dearborn-animals.com. |

Friends Volunteers will continue to receive a monthly email with a new format beginning in September. In addition, this new eNews&Needs will be updated more frequently and we encourage you to check it now for more information and to check it often for new updates. always appreciated! If you see a stray or abused animal, please report it immediately to the local authorities or 911. If in Dearborn, call the shelter at 313.943.2697 (you can report cruelty anonymously) or if the shelter is closed, the Dearborn police at 313.943.2800. |
