For Our Four-Legged Friends

October is Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month and we have so many delightful canines for you to consider.  Just look at these adorable faces and you won't be able to resist.  For adoptions this month only, in addition to the great adoption package you receive, we are offering 50% off on all our dog training classes.

PLUS - the weekend of October 10, all dog and puppy adoption fees will be discounted 25%.  Come to the shelter on Saturday, October 10 from 9am until 4pm or join us at our big off-site Adoption Event at the Fall Remodeling & Design Expo at Rock Financial in Novi.  Our adorable adoptable animals will be out on the town from 10:00am - 3:00pm on Saturday,  October 10th, and Sunday, October 11th.

Speaking of dogs, we thought you might like an update on the Chihuahuas rescued in July.  We are pleased to tell you that 70 of the Chihuahuas have been adopted and are now in new loving homes.  We've added new pages to our Chihuahua information with wonderful photos and stories of these adoptions and happy tails.  In addition, 17 dogs are being socialized in foster homes.  We've also included a new section to give you a glimpse into our wonderful foster families.

To celebrate your favorite Canine, you can savor a bottle of Mutt Lynch wine (now available at Merchants Fine Wine in Dearborn as well as Hiller's Markets with $0.50 from every bottle sold donated to the animals) and to share with you dog(s)  - bring them to our Blessing of the Animals this Saturday and if they do not already have one,  protect them with a microchip offered at a special low, low-cost cost in honor of Adopt-a-Dog-Month.   More information on both these events and others is in the Coming Events section.
